Welcome back to the second edition of Ecstatic Dance Oakville — a conscious movement gathering rooted in music, embodiment, and community.
After an almost SOLD OUT first event in November we are excited to be back by popular demand!
On Sunday, January 11th, we gather at 1:11 PM — a powerful portal time symbolizing alignment, intention, and conscious creation. This dance is an invitation to step into the new year embodied, present, and connected to what wants to move through you.
Set within the serene atmosphere of My Vitae Holistic Centre, this experience invites you to reconnect with your body, quiet the mind, and express your authentic self through movement.
Guided by a live, DJ-curated journey of global grooves with Cacaoboy (aka Jesse Buck), the dance unfolds in waves — from grounding and subtle beginnings, through deep rhythmic exploration and release, into a soft landing of integration and stillness.
No experience required.
No choreography.
Just presence, breath, and movement.
What Is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a freeform movement experience — a journey of music and motion that invites you to move however your body wants to.
There are no steps to learn, no choreography, and no expectations. It’s a practice of self-expression, mindfulness, and release.
The music flows in waves — from slow and grounding to high-energy and expansive — allowing the body to move through emotion, energy, and stillness.
Each dance is held in a safe, substance-free space, creating a supportive environment where you can drop out of the mind and into the body.
It’s not about how you look — it’s about how you feel.

🍫 What Is Chocolate Groove?
For the past seven years, Chocolate Groove has been hosting conscious, intentional celebrations — creating safe, inclusive spaces for gathering, dancing, and deep connection.
As a staple “Sober Celebration” in Toronto, we bring a wellness-focused, retreat-style experience to the nightlife scene. Since our first alcohol-free dance gathering in 2018, we’ve continued to evolve — holding space for both Ecstatic Dance and meaningful community connection.
At our core, we are more than just a dance party — we are a community:
a space for authentic connection, expression, and celebration where everyone is welcome.
