Art Therapy
Creative, compassionate art therapy for Oakville & the Greater Toronto area
Art therapy is a psychotherapy method that uses creative processes to support mental, emotional, and spiritual healing.
Different from traditional art classes, there’s no focus on skill or finished product, just the process, what it reveals and how it makes you feel.
Sessions may include guided prompts, open-ended exploration, or specific themes based on your goals.

Renata Chubb is a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who works with both individuals and groups.
Her approach is grounded in Expressive Arts Therapy—a creative, arts-based path to self-discovery and healing. This modality invites people to explore and express themselves through visual art, writing, voice, movement, and other forms of creativity. The process supports reconnection with inner strengths and wisdom, while helping uncover the resources that already exist within.
Renata has the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from young children to older adults, each bringing their own unique experiences, challenges, and goals.
She supports individuals navigating life transitions such as grief, anxiety, substance use, medical diagnoses, and relationship changes, as well as those seeking to reconnect with their joy, creativity, and vitality.
Renata believes that engaging in creative acts—whether through art, movement, sound, gardening, building, or play—is essential for sustaining mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Her work offers a safe, meaningful, and sustainable path toward deeper connection, healing, and growth.

What to Expect
You won’t even need to identify as “artistic” to benefit from attending. In fact, many people come in unsure, curious or even hesitant, and that’s okay.
You might feel supported by art therapy if:
You’re moving through anxiety, depression, or burnout
You’ve experienced loss, trauma, or major life transitions
You want a non-verbal way to process feelings
You feel stuck in traditional talk therapy or are looking for something to complement it
