Sound Therapy Session

This evening session is designed to support nervous system relaxation and restorative rest.

Participants lie comfortably while being gently guided through a layered sound experience using crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, and gong. These instruments produce consistent tones and vibrations that the brain begins to synchronize with — a process often referred to as brainwave entrainment.

As the sound patterns repeat, brain activity can shift out of fast, thinking-oriented states into slower rhythms associated with relaxation and meditative awareness. This shift supports activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing the body to move out of stress response and into a state of rest and recovery.

Sound also travels efficiently through the body’s tissues and fluids. As a result, participants often feel the vibrations physically, which can help reduce muscular tension, slow breathing, and deepen overall relaxation.

Together, these effects support a state where the body can down-regulate, settle, and restore.

There is nothing required during the session. Participants simply lie down and allow the sound to guide the body into a calm, regulated state.
